Description
Due to extensive predator management combined with great genetics, this area has become known as one of the finest Stone sheep regions in existence. These areas have a high density of world class sheep and book rams are taken every year. This is a 12 day 1:1 hunt. This hunt can be arranged for horseback with no additional charge or backpack hunt. Depending on what time of year the hunt is booked, additional species can be taken with a trophy charge.

On an average year, clients will shoot mid 150s to mid 160 rams. Largest ram taken in the area was 180" B&C. Mature rams of 9-10 are targeted.
Minimum of a 6.5 caliber. Hunters should be prepared to shoot 200-400 yards on this hunt.
Archery and muzzleloader hunts may be arranged, but shot opportunity will be reduced.

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.
Description
This is a traditional sheep hunt in beautiful British Columbia for trophy mature stone sheep. This hunt provides 12 hunting days. Hunter should be prepared for a fun and exciting hunt with a lot of work. Expect hard hunting days, and a lot of glassing. Outfitter is diligent in shooting rams that are full curl or at least 8 years old (This qualifies as a legal ram). Outfitter prefers rams with a 9-10 age average. This hunt will average 5-10 miles of hiking a day in steep and rocky terrain. This hunt can be organized as a backpacking hunt or hunt by horseback for no additional charge.

Accommodations during the hunt will be a wall tent or backpack tent, depending on the type of hunt. Horses may be utilized if terrain permits or is requested.

Hunter should expect backpacking and freeze dried food on this hunt. Some fresh food will be supplied on the horseback hunt.

This hunt will require 5-10 miles of hiking in steep and rocky terrain. If horseback hunt is chosen, horses will be used when capable, but hiking will be required.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Please book your Central Mountain Air flight first, as there are a limited number of flights that come to Fort Nelson each day. Once that flight is booked, you can arrange your other flights to coincide with your CMA flight. You can also drive if you would like a more scenic tour of BC. Outfitter is located on Mile 419 Alaska Highway and there is paved highway right to the lodge. If you would like to bring your meat back home with you, Outfitter recommends that you bring a cooler or small freezer. Outfitter is located 120 miles past Fort Nelson on the Alaska Highway, just after the Racing river on the left hand side coming from the Fort Nelson. Hunter will fly into Fort Nelson, BC and Outfitter will pick you up and bring you back to the lodge. From the lodge you will either horseback or backpack to your final hunting destination. When the hunt is done we will transport you back to Fort Nelson.

Hunter should be prepared to spend 12 days in the mountains in pursuit of big rams. Be prepared for all weather-rain and snow. Backpacking and pack trips have weight requirments-you can only pack what you carry so pack wisely! Comfortable, waterproof, and durable hiking boots are a must. Moderate to cold weather hunting clothing-layering system is recommended. Full list to be provided by the outfitter when booked.
