Description
A great opportunity for youth hunters to hunt big mule deer bucks during the rut! This is a 1:1 fully guided 5 day hunt for youth and one non-hunter. This ranch sits on 18,000 acres of private land. A late November hunt allows for big bucks to show up during the rut. Big potential for trophy deer. Hunters will stay with their non-hunter companion in a cabin on the property. Meals will be served family style in a main lodge. Option for additional non-hunters and for additional hunt days (season is 9 days long) for an additional cost. Youth hunters must possess a hunter's safety card for this hunt required by New Mexico Law. FOR A YOUTH HUNT: Hunters up to 17 are considered youth and must possess a hunter education card. Hunters who are 17 when they apply but turn 18 before the start of the hunt are allowed.

Licenses and taxes not included in the hunt price. An annual junior game hunting license (appx. $15) and habitat stamp (appx. $10) are required in addition to purchasing the OTC/private only deer license for voucher hunts, and that cost is about $270. Application fees may still apply. Carcass tags WILL BE MAILED within 10-14 working days from processing date unless hunter has opted in for the e-tagging option. *2 SPOTS AVAILABLE FOR 2024

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Outfitter will supply all meals and lodging. Each cabin is 2-3 bedroom with a 1 or more bathroom. Outfitter will provide all field transportation, but hunters must be prepared for some moderate hiking.

Hunter will stay in a clean and comfortable cabin for this hunt. Bedding will be provided. Several cabins on the property. WIFI available at the cabins. Cell service is hit or miss.

Moderate to heavy hiking. Can accommodate anyone. For guys that cannot hike, outfitter will provide a blind on water holes. More physically able provides better shot opportunity.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final flight destination is Alamosa, Colorado. Outfitter can pick up and drop off hunters from this airport. Camp is roughly 2 hours from the airport. Hunter may also fly into Taos, Santa Fe, or Albuquerque, New Mexico. If hunter chooses to fly to these airports then they must rent a car and provide their own transportation. Closest city to camp is Costilla, New Mexico.

Description
Depending on the the time of year booked, hunter should be prepared for moderate to cold weather hunting as this hunt will take place during the rut in November. Snow may be present. Mornings and evenings may be cooler. Hunter will hunt each day from the lodge. Outfitter will provide meals and all field transportation. Gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
