Description
This outfitter takes 4 people each on these 6 day hunts. This private land hunt take place the first two weeks of the general season. The quality of the bulls here is excellent. These are the bulls that we archery hunt at Cascade. This is classic rocky mountain elk country, fairly rugged landscape but plenty of big bull hideouts. Success is higher with the elk hunters who get themselves in good shape. Beautiful elk country and a very nice camp. We eat well and the guides are the best. This hunt will be conducted on a general license, which means there is no draw for the special permit. We conduct these hunts the first two weeks of the general rifle season. This outfitter can take a maximum of four hunters per week. This is a classic elk hunt in fairly rough, steep country. We use both horses and utv's to access the hunt area. Success rate is typically 50%. There are some tremendous bulls in the area. A hunter willing to put int he time and hunt hard should have a good chance at a mature bull. We often take bulls that score 350″ or more. These hunts are conducted as a 2:1. This hunt can be arranged for an archery or rifle hunt. Hunters stay in 14'x16' wall tents. The tents all have wood floors and wood stoves for heat. There are bunks in each tent for two people per tent. We gather for meals in the main lodge.
