Alberta whitetail hunting is some of the finest free range deer hunting available in North America, with deer numbers on the rise and the age class of the deer abundant. This is one of Canada's top producing provinces. Northern Alberta, along the farmland fringe is considered one of the best areas that an out of country hunter (non resident) can come hunting. Description
On a whitetail hunt with this outfit, a hunter can expect to be in a heated blind or stand. Outfitter will utilize what's best for the area being hunted, sometimes lock-on stands will be utilized or ladder stands for other areas. But for the most part it will be in a comfortable tower stand or blind. Approximately 75% of our whitetail hunting is done from the blind while the other 25% consists of glassing fields from the pickup truck then stalking in for the shot, both ways have proven successful. Hunting free range whitetail in the vast wilderness of northern Alberta is no easy task. Hunters who can sit all day on a stand prepared to shoot at any moment often do well. Your guide will drop you off and continue to scout throughout the day, all trophy judgment is entirely on you and often is required a quick decision. An experienced or avid hunter that puts forth a solid effort can expect a 75%+ shot opportunity at a mature whitetail of 150"+. Every season produces record book deer. All of these whitetail hunts are minimum 9 full hunting days. Longer trips for the whitetail enthusiasts/freaks can be booked upon request. Hunters can expect to fly into Edmonton 2 days before the hunt and depart the day after the hunt ends.
