Description

This outfitter has picked up a new area that hasn't had any recent pressure on it in years past. They're looking for a few adventurous hunters who wish to explore the area with them while having the opportunity to take quality game in a territory that has been underutilized in recent years. This is a 9 day 1:1 full guided hunt with meals and lodging provided. This hunt will take place during the prime rut and can be organized for either archery or rifle hunts. There is only 1 hunt available for this hunt a year, so trophy quality is high! Option to bring a non-hunter, add a black bear (purely opportunistic), whitetail, or mule deer to the hunt.

Classification details:

Shiras moose are typically smaller than Canadian moose, although the largest of the species reside in British Columbia. Hunter can expect bulls in the 35"-45" B&C classification. Always opportunity for larger.

Weapons description:

Hunt can be arranged for either rifle or archery.
Rifle hunters must be prepared to shoot 100-200 yards.
Bow hunters must be prepared to shoot up to 60 yards.

          Hunting license and tag not included in the hunt price. 5% GST tax is not included and will be billed from the outfitter. License cost is roughly $180.00. Tag cost is roughly $250.00.

          Refund Policy:

          Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunter will stay in a rustic private cabin for the hunt. Bedding will not be provided, so hunter will want to bring their own sleeping bag. Outfitter will service hot meals and field lunches if hunters will be in the field all day. All airport pick up and drop services will be provided along with all field transportation.

          Hunter will stay in their own cabin for this hunt. There will be generator powered electricity and running water. Communal bathrooms. Hunts will be conducted out of the lodge.

          Hunter can expect moderate hiking on this hunt in pursuit of big bulls. Hunter can expect mountain type hunting with quakies and open meadows. Hunts will be conducted out of the cabins. Outfitter will drive some roads and glassing points will be utilized along with calling. Once animals are located, a plan for a stalk will be made and hunter will need to pursue on foot.


          Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

          Final flight destination is Cranbrook, British Columbia. Hotel before and after the stay is not necessary, but if desired it will be an additional cost. Outfitter will pick up and drop off hunters at the airport. All field transportation is provided while in camp.

          Description

          Hunter can expect to spend longer days in the field in pursuit of big bulls. Moderate to cold weather hunting gear should be packed as weather can shift during the fall and snow is not uncommon. Hunter can expect moderate hiking and longer days in the field. Hunter should be prepared for temperatures ranging from 15 to 60 degrees. The lodge sits at about 4000 feet and hiking may up to 6-7000 feet. Good glass is imperative. Layering systems and durable/comfortable hiking boots are a must. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
