Description
A great opportunity to hunt big bodied big deer in Alberta. This is a 7 day hunt. This is stand or blind hunt. Comfortable hunt based out of a nice lodge with all meals provided. This hunt can be arranged for either an archery or rifle rut hunt. Hunter will be set up in stands along cut banks and fields. Bucks in the area are big bodied with dark antlers and outfitter averages around 150" B&C with opportunity at much larger bucks if you are patient. Located in Lac La Biche, Alberta, about two and a half hours North of Edmonton. This is widely considered to be one of, if not the best zones for Big Northern Deer. Farmland and Swamp mixed with Big Bush and Timber, create perfect habitat which continually produces Mature Bucks. Hunting all through November, the high deer population provides the perfect opportunity to be selective and help the hunter get their dream Whitetail. Depending on where and what the deer are doing determines how you will be hunting. Outfitter uses 4X4 trucks, ATVs, and sometimes a little walking for access. The most effective method of hunting is done from the stand. Outfitter uses Tower Stands, Tree Stands, and Ground Blinds. These are set up on Fields, Cut lines or back in the Timber/Bush country on scrapes and natural travel routes. In the right situations, spot and stalk can also be quite productive. Outfitter will provide heaters on cold days as required. There is a trophy fee if a buck is taken during the archery hunt. Rifle rut hunt is an additional $1500.00.
