Description

This is a 5 day fully guided baited hunt in the Northeastern portion of the state near Lake Superior, Minnesota with one of the largest Black Bear populations in the United States. Hunting this area since 1978 this outfitter has 25 square miles surrounding the lodge is big bear heaven. Hunting in the Superior National Forest this outfitter supports one of the highest bear densities in the state. Minnesota conducts a lottery for their bear tags and our area has a very high draw rate. This unit requires 2-3 points to draw. Application fee is $5 and non-resident tags are roughly $250.00. A great hunt for a group or family to enjoy!

        Refund Policy:

        Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

        This is a fully guided 5 day black bear hunt in Northern Minnesota. This is a baited hunt and offers meals and lodging in the hunt price. Option to bring a non-hunter, add airport pick up/drop off, and select your dates. Bears are black and boars average between 150-250 lbs. This outfit also caters to your guest or guests on your hunt as well. You will have good opportunities for sightseeing with many tourist attractions within a reasonable drive. The area is also known for its outstanding Grouse hunting. Bear licenses are issued through a lottery. Online applications are due in April. Preference points are issued to unsuccessful applicants. This hunt requires 2-3 points to draw. Applications are $5.00.

        This camp offers a lot of lodging options for this hunt. This is a summer camp that remains open for bear hunts. Lodging is a mix of private cabins/rooms and bunkhouse style lodging. Private rooms and private cabins available.

        All meals are provided for this hunt. Meals will be catered by local cooks. Homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes. Wood fire pizza oven on site.

        This is a very easy hunt with very little physical demands. Hunter will need to walk to their destination stand, but no more than 100 yards. Outfitter will supply with field transportation by truck or ATV.


        Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

        Final destination city is 2 Harbors, Minnesota. If hunter chooses to fly, Duluth is the destination city. Hunter can either rent a car and drive our outfitter can supply airport transportation for an additional cost.

        Description

        This hunt will be conducted the first two weeks of September in Northern Minnesota. Hunter will sit in the stand after lunch into the evening. Be prepared with layering systems and to sit in a stand into the evening. Comfortable boots and gloves are recommended. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
