Description

This is the best unit in the state of Oregon for big Roosevelt bulls. This voucher is good for the entire Powers Unit of Oregon in the south west corner of the state. This will be a 1:1 fully guided 7 day hunt with options to add a blacktail during the archery season or later during the rifle season. If blacktail is added, hunter will also get an additional 5 days of hunting. This hunt Hunter will hunt with a 3 times world champion elk caller to bring in the biggest bulls. This hunt will be a mix of private and public land. There are very few tags available for this unit, so although public land will be utilized, hunter will not see many hunters. All meals and lodging will be included on this hunt. Non-hunter can accompany for no additional charge.

4 point mature bucks are targeted. Bucks average 120"-140" B&C. Hunter can either choose to hunt a buck with archery during the hunt, or come back to hunt with a rifle in the Applegate Unit. Rifle hunt will be conducted in Mid October.

    Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

    Hunter should be prepared to hike 4-5 miles per day in pursuit of big bulls. The terrain is steep and rocky and unlike most deer hunting areas. Better physical condition allows for more shot opportunity.

    Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

    Final destination city is Tri-city, Oregon or Boise, Idaho. Outfitter will pick up and drop off hunters at either airport.

    Description

    Hunter will stay and hunt from a clean and comfortable RV trailer for the hunt. Weather can vary, but generally early fall rut hunts are mild in weather. Hunter should be prepared to hike long days in all weather conditions. Rain is possible, hunter should pack rain gear and waterproof boots. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
