This area in New Mexico produces an unusually high concentration of color phase bears ranging from blonde, to brown, to cinnamon. Come follow a well trained pack of hounds in some of the most beautiful and rugged country in New Mexico. Bear hunting with hounds is one of the most physically demanding and rewarding hunts this outfitter offers. Sneaking in under twenty yards on a 300lb+ boar bayed up by a pack of hounds and taking a shot is as heart pounding as hunting dangerous game in Africa. Perfect for 2-3 hunters. Meals and lodging are included.his is a 3 day hunt with options to add 2 extra days of hunting. This is a 2:1 hunt but can be a 1:1 for an additional cost. Hunts must be booked with parties of 2.

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunters are often up at daylight driving around until bear tracks are spotted from the truck and then the hounds are then released! Dogs will trail on the bear until they either force it up a tree or bay it up on the ground. Sneaking in under twenty yards on a 300lb+ boar bayed up by a pack of hounds and harvesting it is as heart pounding as hunting dangerous game in Africa.

Hunter should expect to hike 3-5 miles a day in pursuit of big boars. The weather can be very warm and the terrain can be steep and rocky.

Description
Hunter should be prepared to hike in some warmer weather and some rocky terrain while following hounds in pursuit of big boars. Outfitter will supply hunter with a great pack of hound dogs to find large bears in the area. Warm to moderate weather hunting clothing is recommended-layering systems are best. Full gear list will be provided by the outfitter when booked.
