Description

We are pleased to offer a once in a lifetime adventure that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Join us on a trap line tour that will take you back in time to an era that has all but disappeared. You will travel country so wild that few have ever seen it and remains as wild today as it was a hundred years ago. The trapping industry is one of the oldest in Canada and in the early years was one of the only sources of income for many families. In the fall, many men would leave their families behind and venture to the far remote areas of Northern Canada to prepare for the harsh winter climate and begin their season. Many of these young men by today's standards were only boys and would spend an entire winter “alone in the wilderness" Tours are 6 days. Up to groups of 4 and singles are welcome to book.

      Refund Policy:

Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

      Description

Your tour has now begun… Our trapping cabins are fully stocked with the best of food and supplies. There will also be a member of our crew there ahead of time to ensure the cabin is warmed up, dinner is underway and everything is ready for your arrival. We will travel on snow machines along existing trapping trails and you will follow the trapper on his day to day checking, setting and re setting of his traps. This will be a hands-on experience and you will have the opportunity to build your own sets and trap one of the available species. The animals harvested will be picked up and brought along with us to be processed and prepared for market. You will travel through some of the most beautiful remote country you have ever seen and stop for lunch beside a hot fire. Your day will end at one of our outpost cabins where you will again enjoy a great dinner and a warm bed. Good meals and a warm dry cabin are very important as the days can be extremely tiring.
