Description
This is a 1:1 fully guided 7 day hunt and a great opportunity to hunt archery pre-rut or hunt rifle during the rut! Early September will be bow only any bull hunts, while the prime rut dates in mid-September and into early October has a 6 point restriction for bulls and a rifle can be used. Hunter will stay in a small private rustic cabin with electricity powered by a generator. Hunter can choose to add a black bear, whitetail, or mule deer to the hunt. Black bear is purely opportunistic and there will be a $500.00 kill fee if a bear is taken.

There are two different seasons that will require or allow for different size elk to be taken. September 1-9 is bow only any bull season September 22 start date for rifle season. There is a 6 point restriction for any bull.
Hunt can be arranged for either rifle or archery.
Rifle hunters must be prepared to shoot 200-300 yards.
Bow hunters must be prepared to shoot up to 60 yards.

Hunting license and tag not included in the hunt price. 5% GST tax is not included and will be billed from the outfitter. License cost is roughly $180.00. Tag cost is roughly $250.00.

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Black bear is purely opportunistic and there will be a $500.00 kill fee if a bear is taken. This is a spot and stalk and some moderate hiking will be required once bulls are located. The lodge sits at about 4000' but hunters must be prepared to hike up to 7000', especially during the early season. If elk are found at higher elevations, hikes will start higher utilizing two track roads to start hikes higher. Outfitter can accommodate for most physical abilities, but better physically fit will provide better shot opportunity.

Hunter will stay in their own cabin for this hunt. There will be generator powered electricity and running water. Communal bathrooms. Hunts will be conducted out of the lodge.

Hunter can expect moderate hiking on this hunt in pursuit of big bulls. Hunter can expect mountain type hunting with quakies and open meadows. Hunts will be conducted out of the cabins. Outfitter will drive some roads and glassing points will be utilized along with calling. Once animals are located, a plan for a stalk will be made and hunter will need to pursue on foot.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final flight destination is Cranbrook, British Columbia. Hotel before and after the stay is not necessary, but if desired it will be an additional cost. Outfitter will pick up and drop off hunters at the airport. All field transportation is provided while in camp.

Description
Hunter can expect moderate hiking and longer days in the field. Weather can vary if booked later in the month of September and early October. Hunter should be prepared for temperatures ranging from 15 to 60 degrees. The lodge sits at about 4000 feet and hiking may up to 6-7000 feet. Good glass is imperative. Layering systems and durable/comfortable hiking boots are a must. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
