This is a hunt you will never forget as you see some of the biggest elk in Montana during the height of the rut. Lodging and food are included in the hunt price. Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.
Description
An archery elk hunt during the rut for a once in a lifetime Montana bull averaging 380" Pope & Young. Hunter will stay in nice and clean cabins during the hunt. Early morning and early evening hunts will be coordinated. This hunt will require some moderate to heavy hiking as you climb to good glassing points and call in big bulls. Hunter will spot and stalk in the morning hunt, and in the evening set up in blinds over watering holes. There will be several blinds set up all over the property.

This is a spot and stalk hunt. Hunter will be pursuing rutting bulls. More physically fit will produce more shot opportunity.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final destination city is Lewistown, Montana. Outfitter will pick up hunter from the airport. Other option is to fly to Billings, Montana and drive to camp. It is roughly a 2 hour drive from Billings.

Description
This is an early September hunt in eastern Montana. Weather is generally nice, but always plan for changes in weather. Warm to moderate hunting clothing is a must. Layering systems recommended. Outfitter will supply meals and lodging for this hunt. To hunt during the archery season, hunters must purchase a $10 bow and arrow license after obtaining a hunting license. A certificate showing the completion of a Bowhunter Education course or a prior year's archery license from any state is required to purchase the bow and arrow license.
