Description
A great hunt in Northeastern Utah for big Toms! This is a 1:1 fully guided 5-day hunt. This hunt can be arranged year-round, depending on what quotas are filled or open for the year. Hunter can either choose a dry ground hunt during the summer and fall months, or hunt during the winter and cut tracks in the snow. This outfit has very experienced hounds and will work hard to get hunters on mature animals. Hunters may choose to shoot their cat with either a rifle or a bow. Hunter will need to be in good physical condition for this hunt. All field transportation will be provided, but once a cat is treed, the hike may be long, steep, and snow may be present (depending on the time of year booked). Option for a non-hunter or additional guide.

Limited entry and harvest-objective permits are the same cost. Application fees may apply. An annual license is still required if purchasing a point only, and the bonus point only fee is about $15. The application period for permits or to purchase a bonus point only usually opens early February and closes mid-February. Draw results are typically available early March. OTC permits are typically available in late June. If you obtain a limited entry lion permit, there is a 3-season waiting period before you can apply for another permit or purchase a bonus point. A bonus point is awarded if not drawn. Lions can be hunted year-round (quota dependent) but lion hunting in the winter when tracks can be found are more productive. A cougar orientation course is available through the state website. This is NOT REQUIRED though it is recommended as this course includes details on license selection, identification, and other hunt details.
