Description
Hunt Black Bears in the beautiful Northern forest of Saskatchewan! This is a full 6 day hunt for black bears with a decent chance at a color phase bear in these areas. Hunt baited areas from elevated stands in the spruce, aspen and poplar forest in West Central Saskatchewan on the Forest fringe. This is a highly managed, low pressure area with many mature boars. There is not a lot of pressure on bears, so you will see several bears every night (as many as 12 to 15 per night is not uncommon, with some clients seeing over 20 in one night). Since we only hunt bears in the evenings, you have plenty of time to go fishing for Rainbow Trout & Splake, or try for Northern Pike. This outfitter is very proactive with trail cameras and gives hunters the most recent information to help put them in the highest percentage stands to be successful on trophy boars.

Hunters will see many bears and shooting a bear is not a problem. Hunters who wish to hold out for that big old boar are welcome and encouraged to do so. Each stand and location hunted will have the most recent information in the form of trail cam pics within the past few days. Outfitter only hunts stands where mature boars are known to be at that specific time.
Most stands are set for Archery shots. There are some locations which are situated farther from the baits for a rifle shot because of wind.

Spring bear hunts take place during the month of May. Hunts are 6 days. A very good population of bears live on this Consession, as well as some brown and blonde color phase bears. We do not put a lot of pressure on our bears, so you will see several bears every night (as many as 12 to 15 per night is not uncommon, with some clients seeing over 20 in one night). Since you will only hunt bears in the evenings, you have plenty of time to go fishing for Rainbow Trout & Splake, or try for Northern Pike. Enjoy your time in a new lodge with excellent chef prepared meals, modern bath facilities and the quietness of the Saskatchewan forest! Hunts are conducted from truck, ATV or side by side and each client will have his own ATV or ride next to his or her guide in a side by side ATV.
