Description
This is a fully guided backcountry hunt for 1 hunter. Experience the backcountry of Colorado on horseback looking for large bucks. Hunts are available 2nd, 3rd, and 4th season. You must apply for these tags. You can draw 2nd season rifle with 0 points, 3rd season will draw with 1 point, and 4th season may take 5-6 points. Hunter will also have the option to add a elk hunt if they draw or if hunting archery, elk tags are over the counter for additional cost. Black bear may be taken with a license at no additional charge.

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.
Description
This hunt is available for both Archery and Rifle Seasons. A mix of private land, forest service and wilderness area will be hunted. Horseback hunting will be our primary means of transportation, but 4×4 and hiking will be used to access some areas. The majority of hunting will be done on public land. Lodging and meals are provided in our high-end lodge adjacent to the Flat Tops Wilderness Area. A small wilderness spike camp may be available also for overnight hunts. You can focus on several species (including elk, mule deer, and bears – based on season/tag availability) or focus on a single species. Lodge hunts are afternoon arrival, 5 full days of hunting, morning departure.

Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final destination city is Vail Colorado. Hunter can also fly into Denver, Colorado and drive to lodge (~3 hour drive).

Depending on what season you draw and hunt will determine the recommended gear you should bring. Layering systems for hunting clothing is recommended. Comfortable hiking boots are a must. Full and thorough gear list will be provided to hunter when booked by the outfitter.
